An evening to showcase three of my landmark films at DePaul University to family, friends, and industry colleagues.
My mom always told me growing up, “People don’t have to support you so mind how you treat them”. I’m still processing the weight of love I received last night from my family, friends, community members, and industry colleagues in support of my MFA films, especially for my thesis, Cottage Grove. I’m beyond grateful to my producers, Arika Linton, M.A., and Jordan Shields for making the evening magical. Thanks to everyone who attended and those who sent well wishes. I hope I continue to make you all proud as I tell simple stories that expand the voices of black and brown people in the world through film.
